Lone Star Medical Transportation

Calvin and Scott were angels in disguise. My mother broke her hip and had hip replacement surgery. The hospital discharged her. They arranged for her to be transported by another medical transport company to a Rehab Center. The other companies drver threw her discharge paperwork at her. Then he left her suitcase on the hospital sidewalk and drove off. He was speeding and driving recklessly to the rehab center. When I arrived at the rehab center, my mother has in great pain. The rehab center was rundown. So, I decided that I would take my mother home. The rehab administrators were very helpful. They called Lone Star. As I was talking to Scott, he could hear my mother was in pain and not wanting to getback into another transport vehicle. He suggested that they use a Broda Chair transport. It's like a big lazy boy chair. His best driver, Calvin , was returning to end his shift. He said, he would ask him to make another run. Scott was concerned that we wouldn't have enough manpower to get her loaded into the chair. He decided that he would come with Calvin to help. Scott is the Executive Director of the company, no less. When they arrived, they explained to my mom; how they were going to put my mom in the Broda chair. She didn't want to change chairs because she was in so much pain. They allowed her to be in charge. If she was feeling any pain from the transfer. They would stop until she wanted to proceed. Once, she was in the chair and comfortable. Her personality changed, she was smiling, laughing and flirting with Calvin. On the ride home. Calvin would tell her about bumps in the road and curves. They had an excellent conversation. When they arrived at the house. They brought her into her room and got her into bed. My mom was in charge once again. They explained to her, how they were going to transfer her from the chair into the bed. It all went smoothly. They went above and beyond the service promised. It was a day from hell for me and my mother. But Calvin and Scott brought sunlight into a dark day; to the point of tears from me. I highly recommend this company. My driver, Jermaine , was a wonderful human being. He was attentive and caring to my needs coming out of surgery. I felt safe and relaxed. I suspect this reflects the LoneStar company philosophy as a whole. Thanks again!

My father is disabled and I was hesitant to use a transportation service but after using this service 3 times in one day I would highly recommend them . Their reliable & Friendly

Although we feel the attention given by the drivers is acceptable, this past experience of them not arriving on time or usually 15-20 minutes early was unexpected. I canceled when they were late and had no idea if they would even show up. I did not get a full refund they charged for the cancellation a fee.

Your man Calvin (I hope I got that right) Showed up earlier than expected at the Oakwood surgery center in round rock. He was efficient very pleasant and we had a nice talk about some things that were important to both of us Thank you for your service
